CITY MANAGER'S SALARY INCREASE
Proposed Action
I hereby recommend the following motion: Move to increase
the Citv Manaaer's salary to 564.100, effective Julv 1.
1991.
Adoption of this motion will increase the Manager's salary
by $1,700 or 2.7 %.
overview
The City Manager has been in the position for approximately
18 months. During this period the Manager's salary has not
been reviewed in comparison to other cities or city
department heads.
The Manager was evaluated in August of 1990 and'is meeting
our performance expectations. The salary range for this
position is $54,538 - $73,611.
Based upon a review of all the appropriate information, I am
recommending this step increase as stated in the above
motion. I would further recommend that the Council review
the method we use in adjusting the Manager's salary in
February of 1992 (his anniversary date).
