Adoption of this motion will authorize contracts to be signed which
allow the City to continue the Pavilion /Ice Arena construction.
Overview.
The city council has approved initial sets of subcontractor bids for
the project amounting to $478,470. This report recommends approving
an additional two subcontract bids. his results in a nevi total of
$563,351.61.
Staff has worked with the city's consulting architect/ engineer;
Ankeny, Kell, Richter and Associates and the city's construction
manager; Kraus- Anderson, to solicit bids and compile the results.
Staff has received bids to complete the majority of the work.
Staff is recommending approval of the low bids. This recommendation
is made based on our review of the bids and our conclusion that the
bids are reasonable and allow for the construction of a facility which
meets the city's long -term needs.
