I SPRINKLER ADDITION PETITION
American Legion - 10 12th Avenue South
Proposed Action.
Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Hove that
Resolution No. 88-7 "Resolution Proving Petition Fo~' And Order1u.K
Improvements" be adopted..
Adoption of this resolution will provide the funding of' the sprinkler
system additions and for the costs to be assessed against the pro~erty
benefitted.

Resolution No. 87-102 vas adopted Novemoer 17 , 1987. This resolution
prover!. the petition tor installation of' a sprinkler system in the
American Legion building and provided for the assessment ot those
. improvements. The costs authorized for this imrrovement were $29,432.

Petition has been received tor additional work as requir&d by the
Code. This addition~l work is 1'Oi' $3,309032. The Fire Marshal has
reviewed the petition and has approved the additions. The additions
fall within the provi~ions of the City's Fire Protection System Policy.

RESOLUTION PROVING PETITION FOR AND ORDERING IMPROVEMENTS
WHERE}S, American Legion Post 320, lO-12th Avenue

South, has petitioned for an improvement consisting of the
installation of a fire protection system pursuant to
Minnesota Statute #429.031, Subd. 3; and
WHEREAS, the petition and accompanying documents

NOW, THERE!"ORE I BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HOPKINS:
1. Such improvement is hereby ordered as proposed and
requested in the petition.
2. That the Director of Engineeri.Jgt Gordon Anderson,
and Fire Marshall, George Magdal, be directed to review and
approve the plbns and specifications accompanying the
petition for the construction and installation of the fire
protection system. !
3. That said installation and construction be in I
conformance with Minnesota statute Chapter 429 and all state
. and municipal codes, ordinances and regulations pertaining
thereof,

4. That periodic inspections be conducted by the City
of Hopkins to assure compliance with said codes and
requirements.
Adopted by the city Council of the City of Hopkins,
Minnesota this 5th day of January, 1988.

improvement is feasible, necesFar,y, and proper for the prote~tion of the
