3.2 BEER ON SALE FOR HOPKINS JAYCEES
JULY 8TH THRU JULY 10TH
JULY 16TH THRU JULY 17TH
Proposed Action.
Staff recommends adoption of the fOllowing motion: MQn
that th~ Hopkins city Council approve the application for a
3.2 beer license for concurrent events sponsored-py_~
Hopkins Javcees during the Raspberrv Festival.
Overview.
On June 13, 1988 the Hopkins Jaycees made application for a
3.2 beer and transient food license for activities they a~e
sponsoring during the Raspberry Festival. On July 8, 1988
they are sponsoring a Golf Tournament at Meadowbrook Golf
Course from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p..., also a tent dance
Jllly 8th from 8:00 p.m. until 1:00 a.m. at Central Park. On
July 9th and lOth Softball Tournaments from 9:00 a.m. until
8:00 p.m.
On July 16th they will be having a Beer Garden at the
.. Raspberry festival from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 a.m. and on
July 17th Parade Day concessions.
The Police Department has reviewed the application and can
find no reason to deny the applications.
irimary Issues to Consider.
As this is an annual event and the Council has always
approved the applications we can find no reason to deny the
application.

Subject: Appointment to the Park Board
Mayor Milbert is requesting approval of the appointment of
David Banqerter 305 Althea Lane (935-0411), to the Park
Board to replace Michael Winship whose term expired 6/30/88.
Mr. Bangerter's term would expire 6/30/90.
Mayor Hilbert is also asking for the approval of the
reappointment of Connie Connors to a second term on the Park
Board, term to expire 6/30j90w
