Council Report 2009 -035
Approve a Temporary Liquor License for the Elks Lodge.
308 th Ave S
Proposed Action
Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: approve a temporary liquor license
for the Elks Lodge, 30 8 Ave S from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on May 16, 2009.
Overview
The Elks Lodge is planning a new event. The event is a scotch and cigar tour to be
held on May 16, 2009. Proceeds will go to the local food shelves. The Elks Lodge is
applying for a temporary liquor license. The scotch tasting will occur under a tent in
their parking lot. In the past, they have used their Club License to serve alcohol in the
parking lot. The lot is a part of their contiguous license area. However, they would like
to take out the temporary license and dispense with the member /guest sign in book that
they are required to use under their regular club license.
