(a) CONSIDER ACTION - AWARD BIDS FOR BOND SALES

General Obligation Bond
Staff recommended adoption of the following motion Move to
adopt Resolution No 89-123a and 89-l23b awarding the sale
of $4,180,000 General Obligation Bonds With approval of
the motion staff would be able to complete the sale of this
bond Mike Shaffer from Evanson Dodge appeared before
Council to inform them of the bids The Low bidder was
Prudential Bache at 6 75%
Councilmember Redepenning moved and Councilmember Sh1rley
seconded the motion to adopt Resolution No 89-l23a and l23b
approving the bid of Prudential Bache for the sale of the
General Ob11gation Bonds at 6 75%

Staff recommended adopt1on of the follow1ng motion Adopt
Resolution No 89-124 award1ng the sale of $410,000 General
Capital Notes With approval of the motion staff would
be able to complete the sale of this bond.
Mr Shaffer informed Council that the low bidder for the
General Capital Notes was Un1ted Missouri Bank of Kansas at
5 J 8 %
Councilmember Kritzler moved and Councilmember Anderson
seconded the motion to adopt Resolution No 89-124 approving
the sale of $410,000 General Obligation Capital Notes to the
United Missouri Bank of Kansas at 5 8 %

(b) CONSIDER ACTION - LIQUOR LICENSE - HOPKINS LIQUOR
STORE
Staff recommended adoption of the following motion Move
that the Hopkins City Council approve the 11quor license for
Kenneth Severid Meinert.
After a brief discussion Counc1lmember Anderson moved and
Councilmember Shirley second the motion to approve the
liquor license for Kenneth S. Meinert
A poll of the vote was as follows' Councilmember Anderson,
Aye; Councilmember Shirley, Aye; Councilmember Kritzler,
Aye; Councilmember Redepenning, Aye, Mayor Berg, Aye. The
motion carried unanimously.
(c) CONSIDER ACTION - REMOVE 2 LOTS - CORNER OF 3RD ST &
20TH AVENUE NORTH FROM OFFICIAL MAP
Staff recommended approval of the following motion Move to
approve Resolution No 89-112 adopt1ng for first reading,
Ordinance No 89-665 remov1ng lots 16 and 17 Block 6, West
M1nneapolis Third Division from the Offic1al Map Approval
of this resolut1on would adopt, for first reading, an
ordinance removing the subject lots from the Official Map

would be willing to have some type of path or access on the

Charter requires that all right-of-way vacatlons be vacated
by ordinance.
