RESOLUTION NO. 89-68
RESOLUTION FOR HEARING ON PROPOSED SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 89-66 passed and adopted by the
Council on August 1, 1989, the City Clerk and Director
of Engineering were directed to prepare proposed
assessments of the costs of improving various streets,
avenues and thoroughfares and miscellaneous
improvements in the City of Hopkins, all as more fully
described in Exhibit A. hereto attached and attached to
Resolution No. 89-66 and made a part hereof, and
WHEREAS, the said Clerk has notified the Council that such
proposed assessments have been completed and filed in
his office for public inspection.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the city
of Hopkins as follows:
1. A hearing shall be held on September 19, 1989 to
pass upon such proposed assessments, and at such
time and place, all persons owning property affected
by such improvements and assessments will be given
an opportunity to be heard with reference to such
assessments.
2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a Notice
of the Hearing on the proposed assessments to be
published at least two weeks prior to the hearing
and he shall state in the Notice the total cost of
each of such improvements.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Hopkins this
day of September, 1989.

EXHIBIT A
1. Project 88-06. Concrete Alley, Block 99, West
Minneapolis Second (9th to 10th Avenues North, 3rd to
4th streets North). The estimated cost being
$14,731,62. The area proposed to be assessed is Lots
1-24 inclusive, Block 99, West Minneapolis 2nd
Division.
2. Project 89-01. Sprinkler at 918 Mainstreet. Install-
ation of Fire Protection System and connection to
watermaini estimated cost being $32,377.80. The area
proposed to be assessed is Lot 1, Block 5, West
Minneapolis, P.I.D. #24-117-22 34 0009; and the West 22
feet of Lot 2, Block 5, West Minneapolis, P.I.D. #24-
117-22 34 0010.
3. False Alarm at 1700 Second Street South, P.I.D. #26-
117-22 11 0001, that part of NE 1/4 of NE 1/4 desc as
beginning 1112.65 ft E of NW corner thof, thence south
parallel with west line thof distance 96 ft, th W
parallel with north line thof distance 25.25 ft, thence
S parallel with the Eline thof to Nly line of RR r/w,
thence NEly along said r/w line to E line of NE 1/4 of
NE 1/4, thence N to NE corner thof, thence W to
beginning, Sec. 26 T 117 R 22. Total cost being
$168.00.
4. Delinquent utility Bill at 702-7th Avenue South, P.I.D.
#25-117-22 42 0045, Lots 1 & 2, Block 7, West
Minneapolis Annex. Total cost being $59.36.
5. Delinquent utility Bill at 228-17th Avenue North,
P.I.D. # 23-117-22 14 0132, Lot 6, Block 8, West
Minneapolis 3rd" Division. Total Cost being $134.68.
6. Maintenance of a parking ramp at 26-10th Avenue South,
the area proposed to be assessed being 1011 First
Street South described as Lots 14, 15 & 16, Blk 6 West
Mpls also Lots 18 through 22 incl said said Blk 6 & th
S 15 ft of Lot 23 said Blk 6 incl the adj 1/2 of the
vac alley, P.I.D. #24-117-22 34 0123. Total cost
being $12,720.00.
