RESOLUTION NO. 85-3213
RESOLUTION ADOPTING ASSESSMENTS
WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice published and given as required by law,
the City Council of the City of Hopkins has met and heard on September 18, 1985,
and passed upon all objections to the proposed assessments for the improvement
of various streets, avenues, and thoroughfares and miscellaneous improvements
a
in the City of Hopkins, all as more fully set forth and described in Exhibit
A. attached to Resolution No. 85-3203 adopted the 16th day of July, 1985 and
Resolution No. 85-3208 adopted the 20th day of August, 1985, and
WHEREAS~ each of said improvements as set forth in Exhibit A. hereto
attached, were presented and considered by said Council separately at said
meeting and each separately accepted and adopted by unaminous vote of said
Hopkins Council except No.7, Project 84-02 and No.8, Project 84-05:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOPKINS, MINNESOTA,
as follows:
1. Such proposed assessments, a copy of which is attached hereto and
made a part hereof and hereby accepted and shall constitute the special assess-
ments against the lands therein named and each tract of land therein included
Q is hereby found to be benefitted by the proposed improvement in the amount of
the assessment levied against it.
2. Such assessments shall be payable in equal, annual installments
extending over the periods of years set forth in the Schedule of Assessments,
the first of the installments to be paid with the real estate taxes due and
payable in 1986. Any deferred installments shall bear interest at the rate
as set forth in said Schedule of Assessments from the 1st day of October, 1985.

To the first installments shall be added interest on the entire respective
assessment from October 1st, 1985 until December 31st, 1986. To each subsequent
installments, when due shall be added interest for one year on all unpaid
installments.

3. The owner of any property so assessed may at anytime after the adoption
of the assessments and before November 15th, pay the whole of the assessments
against any parcel to the City Manager, and no interest shall be charged if the
entire ass~ssment is paid before November 15th. Also, the owner of the
property may at anytime thereafter, except between November 15th and December
31st of each year, pay to the City Manager, the entire amount of the assessment
remaining unpaid.
4. The Clerk shall forth with transmit a certified duplicate or duplicates
of these assessments to the Hennepin County Auditor to be extended on the proper
tax lists of the County, and such assessments shall be collected and paid over
the same manner as other municipal taxes.
Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Hopkins, Minnesota, this
18th day of September, 1985.

4. Project 82-09. Storm sewer on Tenth Street and Feltl Court from Eleventh
Avenue to Eleventh Street South, total cost being $60,255.98 of which
none is to be assessed.
5. Project 83-02. Concrete alley east of Tenth Avenue South between Sixth
Street South and Seventh Street South, total cost being $10,853.18 of
which $9,031.00 is proposed to be assessed to Lots 13 thru 24, inclusive,
Block 59, West Minneapolis and Units 1 thru 88, inclusive, Condominium
No. 398, Westbrooke-North Condominium.
6. Project 84-01. Concrete curb, gutter and driveways on the north service
road of State Highway No.7 from Robinwood Lane to County Road #73, total
cost being $13,079.77 of which $6,932.45 i.s ptoposed to be assessed to
Tracts A, B, C, and G, Registered Land Survey No. 1053 and Lot 2, Block 1,
Union Oil Second Addition I
7. Project 84-02. Concrete alley between 16th Avenue North and 17th Avenue
North from 4th Street North to 16th Avenue North, total cost being $11,224.04
of which $9,296.17 is proposed to be assessed to Lots 1 thru 7, inclusive,
and Lots 14 thru 18, inclusive, Block 2, Gibb's First Addition to West
Minneapolis.

8. Project 84-05. Watermain extension on the east and north side of Chapel
View, total cost being $46,089.82 and the area proposed to be assessed
being: (P.I.D. #24-117-22 12 0006) That part'of the Northwest Quarter
of Northeast Quarter lying west of east 486 87/100 feet thereof and
southerly of State Highway No.7 and east of Gethsemane Road; (P.I.D. #
24-117-22 12 0007) That part of the north 1066 9/10 feet of east 486 87/100
feet of Northwest Quarter of Northeast Quarter lying south of State Highway
No.7, except road; (P.I.D. #24-117-22 12 0008) South 200 feet of north
1266.9 feet of east 486.87 feet of Northwest Quarter of Northeast Quarter
and south 45.22 feet of west 322.87 feet of east 486.87 feet of Northwest
