11-05-1986 Resolutions CITY OF HOPKINS Hennepin County, Minnesota Resolution No. 86-70 A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING DUTIES OF CITY MANAGER DURING ABSENCE OR DISABILITY WHEREAS, Section 6.01, Chapter 6 Hopkins City Charter states that during the absence or disability of the City Manager the duties of the office shall be performed by some properly qualified person designated by the Council, and WHEREAS, one of the persons designated has now retired from the City, and WHEREAS, the circumstances of emergency may require action before the Council can meet and confer, -e NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Hopkins as follows: Section 1. The following persons are hereby designated, under Chapter 6, Section 6.01 of the Hopkins Charter to perform the duties of the City Manager during the absence or disability of the Ci ty Manager. """- RESOLUTION NO. 86-71 CITY OF HOPKINS HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND APPROVING APPLICATION FOR WAIVER OF PLAT WVR86-4 entitled Farmdale property WHEREAS, an application for Waiver of Plat WVR86-4 has been made by L. E. Johnson, 100 Road, to add approximately 3327 square feet to the at 100 Farmdale Road. WHEREAS, the procedural history of the application is as follows: . 1. That an application for Waiver of Plat was filed with the City of Hopkins on October 4, 1986. 2 . That the Hopkins Planning Commission reviewed such application on October 28, 1986. 3. That the Hopkins Planning Commission, pursuant to mailed notices, held a public hearing on October 28, 1986; all persons present at the hearing were given an opportunity to be heard. 4. That the written comments and analysis of the City Staff and the Planning Commission were considered. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Hopkins City Council makes the following Findings of Fact in respect to WVR86-4 1. That the lots meet the minimum lot area requirements. 2 . That the Waiver of Plat will not affect the minimum setback requirements. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that application for Waiver of Plat WVR86-4 is hereby approved subject to the following conditions: 1. that the Waiver be accepted by the Hennepin County Recorder. -. WHEREAS, the procedural history of the application is as follows: 1. That an application for Conditional Use Permit CUP86-11 was filed with the City of Hopkins on October 1, 1986. 2. That the Hopkins Planning Commission reviewed such application on October 28, 1986. 3. That the Hopkins Planning Commission, pursuant to published and mailed notices, held a public hearing on October 28, 1986; all persons present at the hearing were given an opportunity to be heard. 4. WHEREAS, the procedural history of the application is as follows: 1. That an application for Waiver of Plat WVR86-5 was filed with the City of Hopkins on October 15, 1986. 2. That the Hopkins Planning Commission reviewed such application on October 28, 1986. 3. That the Hopkins Planning Commission, pursuant to mailed notices, held a public hearing on October 28, 1986; all persons present at the hearing were given an opportunity to be heard. 4. That the written comments and analysis of the City Staff and the Planning Commission were considered. The existing parking lots are legal, non- conforming, which will remain the same. CITY OF HOPKINS Hennepin County, Minnesota RESOLUTION NO. 86- 75 A RESOLUTION ORDERING PREPARATION OF ENGINEER'S REPORT ON IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS a petition has been received requesting that consideration be given to the improvement of Cambridge Street by the installatlon of sidewalk on the north side and curbs on the south side thereon and the assessment of benefitting property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to M.S.A., Sees. 429.011 to Sec. 429.111, as amended. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HOPKINS, MINNESOTA, that the proposed improvement be referred to Gordon Anderson, Dlrector of Engineering, for study and he is instructed to report with all convenient speed advising the Council in a preliminary way as to whether the proposed lmprovements are feasible and as to whether they should best be made as proposed or in connection with some other improve- ment, and the estimated cost of the improvements as recommended.
