A regular meetlng of the Clty Councll of the Clty of Hopklns, Mlnnesota was
held on Tuesday, August 21, 1984, at 7:30 p.m. ln the Councll Chambers of the
Clty Hall.

Present were Mayor Mlller, Councllmembers, Milbert, Shlrley, LaVln and
Anderson. Also present were Clty Manager, Cralg; Clty Englneer, StroJan, Clty
Clerk, Renne; Asslstant Clty Englneer, Anderson; PubllC Works Operatlons

MINUTES
Mr. Anderson moved and Mrs. Lavln seconded the motlon to
~pprove the mlnutes of the August 7, 1984 meetlng. A poll of
the vote was as follows: Mr. Anderson, Aye; Mr. Shlrley, Aye;
Mr. Mllbert, Aye; Mrs. Lavln, Aye; Mayor Mlller, Aye. The
motlon carrled unanlmously.
LICENSES:
Mr. Anderson moved and Mr. Mllbert seconded the motlon to
approve the mlscellaneous llcense appllcatlons for 1984 (see
IlSt). A poll of the vote was as follows: Mrs. Lavln, Aye;
Mr. Mllbert, Aye; Mr. Shlrley, Aye; Mr. Anderson, Aye; Mayor
Mlller, Aye. The motlon carrled unanlmously.
BILLS:
Mr. Shlrley moved and Mr. Anderson seconded the motlon to
approve and authorlze payment of expendltures dated August 21,
1984, Warrant #695. A poll of the vote was as follows: Mr.
Anderson, Aye; Mr. Shlrley, Aye; Mr. Mllbert, Aye; Mrs.
Lavln,Aye; Mayor Mlller, Aye. The motlon carrled unanlmously.

Tabulatlon of blds for concrete alley constructlon.
ACTION:
Mr. Anderson moved and Mr. Milbert seconded the motlon to award
the contract to Standard Sldewalk, Inc., the low bldder, ln the
amount of $18,492.00, as recommended by the englneerlng
department. A poll of the vote was as follows: Mr. Anderson,
Aye; Mr. Shlrley, Aye; Mr. Mllbert, Aye; Mrs. Lavln, Aye; Mayor

PERMITS:
Mr. Mllbert moved and Mr. Anderson seconded the motlon to
approve the request for a permlt by NSP to lnstall underground
cable to serVlce 32 townhouses ln Peaceful Valley. A poll of
