Dear Mr. Miller:
Being a new business person in Hopkins, I have become aware of
some images outsiders may have of this city. The first thing
that becomes apparent is the new access from County Road #18,
making it very accessable. From this main entry into the city,
could I suggest some aesthetic improvements along both sides of
Excelsior Boulevard, from #18 west to 10th Avenue;
Railroad property to be mowed, some hedges and shrubs, etc.
The north side owners to maintain their lawns and city to put in
shrubs and hedges where possible.
Can we make this street (Excelsior Blvd.) more of a groomed and
well cared for entrance to Hopkins. This is now our front door.
Business people and shoppers get first impressions driving down
that main entry, let's make it attractive. We have alot of
heavy competition from the other suburban communities, let's
IIsprucell our town up.
Being a member of the IIMain Street Committee", I have, as do the
other members, Hopkins in our best interest.
