ORDINANCE 84 - 536
AN ORDINANCE REGULATING TRESPASSING
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Hopkins as
follows:
That the 1977 Code of Ordinances of the City of Hopkins be
and is hereby amended by adding thereto the following Section
910.65:
SECTION 910.65: TRESPASS
Whoever intentionally does any of the following is
guilty of a misdemeanor:
'0
1) Enters upon the land of another and, without
claim of right, refuses to depart therefrom on
demand of the lawfully possessor or his agent; or
2) Enters upon the land of another, without claim
of right or consent of the lawful possessor,
dur ing such hour s as entry is prohibi ted by
conspicuously posted signs.
For the purpose of this Ordinance:
a) A demand to depart may be made orally or by
posting at reasonable intervals signs which
prohibit trespass on the affected land; b) Any
Hopkins police officer may be appointed an agent
of the lawful possessor of land for the purpose of
making a demand to depart therefrom.
