NOTICE OF HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENTS
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Councll of the City
of Hopkins will meet in the Council Chambers of the Clty Hall at
Hopkins, Minnesota, at 7:30 o'clock P.M., on September 18th, 1984,
to pass upon the proposed special assessments for the improvements
of certain streets, avenues, highways, alleys and thoroughfares,
all more partlcularly described ln Exhlbit A. hereto attached and
made a part hereof.

The proposed assessments are on file for public inspection
in the office of the City Clerk at said Clty Hall.
Written or oral objections will be considered and heard
at said hearing.
An owner may appeal an assessment to distrlct court pursuant
to Minnesota Statutes Section 429.081 by serving notice of the
appeal upon the mayor or clerk of the city wlthin 20 days after
the adoption of the assessment and fllling such notice with the
dlstrict court within ten days after service upon the mayor or
clerk.

The total cost of each of said improvements are set forth
in said Exhlbit A. and unless otherwise stated hereln, the City
will no part of any of such assessments.

E X H I BIT A
1. Extension of watermain and installatlon of hydrants to provlde
additional fire protection and to eliminate dead end main ln a
high service location, on the north side of County Road No.3
from west of the Chicago Northwestern Rallroad right-of-way
(Town Terrace Apartments) to anew exit ramp east of Chlcago
Northwestern Rallroad right-of-way (area bounded by Excelsior
Avenue West, 5th Avenue South, County Road No.3 and the exit
ramp from southbound #18 to County Road #3) the total cost
being $11,592.00 and the area to be assessed being: That part
of Lots 14, 20 and 23 lYlng southerly of a line described as
beginning at a point in west line of Lot 14 distance 240 feet
south from Northwest corner thereof, thence east parallel with
south line of Excelsior Avenue 275 feet, thence north to south
line of Lot 17, thence east to southwest corner of Lot 21 and
there terminating, except highway, Auditors Subdivlsion No.
242, also Lots 5, 6 and 7, Block 1, Town Terrace.
2. Watermain on Tenth Street and Feltl Court from Eleventh Avenue
to Eleventh Street South, total cost of the proJect belng
$63,282.94 and the area proposed to be assessed being: Lot 1,
Block 1; Lot 1, Block 2, both in Opus II Ninth Addition; and
the west 1/2 of the Southwest Quarter of Southwest Quarter of
Section 25, Township 117, Range 22.
3. Sanitary Sewer on Tenth Street and Feltl Court from Eleventh
Avenue to Eleventh Street South, total cost being $41,106.98
and the area proposed to be assessed being: Lot 1, Block 1;
Lot 1, Block 2, both in Opus II Nlnth Addition; and the west
1/2 of the Southwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of
Section 25, Township 117, Range 22.
