Re: Hopkins Honda / Zion Lutheran Sign
The letter from the Economic Development Committee regarding Hopkins
Honda was not given to the Zoning and Planning Commission members until they
arrived at the meeting. I dld not have my own copy until the middle of the
discussion having been given two copies of another document by mistake. As
chair of a volunteer commission that meets once a month, I would note that
there was not time for adequate reflection on the material in that letter and
that its contents (especially page 2 a. b. c.) were not reviewed by the Com-
mlssion except in a cursory manner.
On the matter of the Zion Lutheran Church sign I would retract my vote
for approval if that were possible. The sign is nearly 3 times larger than
Ordinance 427.42(17)(3) allows. This fact escaped me during the Commission
discussion but is clear to me in retrospect. Although my vote would not have
affected the majority, I do wish to make my IIhindsight" position known to you.
