Bids were received last Friday for the subject project.
Four bids were received ranging from a high of $670,251.39 to a
low of $497,106.79 as shown on the enclosed bid tabulation. Our
estimate for this project with adjustments for the two addenda
was $548,000.
A copy of the bid proposal from Opus Corporation, the low
bidder, is also enclosed.

The Minnetonka Engineer will be reconmending that the award go the the low
bid Opus, Corporation. Award will be made by the Minnetonka City Council on
Monday evening, April 23, 1984. We ask and recommend that the Hopkins City
Council concur with that recommendation.
Citys' of Hopkins and Minnetonka have an agreement to split costs, except
special costs, on the projects. This split is estimated to be $250,803.39
for Hopkins and $246,303.40 for Minnetonka.
Funding for the Hopkins portion is expected to be partially from MSAS funds,
partially from City Storm Sewer budgeted funds, and partially from assessments
to benefitted property. Estimates based on the above bid prices are as follows:

All of the lighting costs and the bridge costs will be assessed. A portion
of the street costs will be assessed; all of the curb and gutter costs ($5040.00)

December 21, 1982 allotted $150,000 of State Aid money for the above project.
