RESOLUTION NO. 83-3090
A RESOLUTION ORDERING ABATEMENT OF NUISANCE
BY REMOVING CERTAIN INFECTED ELM AND/OR OAK
TREES IN VARIOUS LOCATIONS IN THE CITY OF
HOPKINS
WHEREAS, pursuant to City of Hopkins Ordinance No. 79-467 and pursuant
to MSA Chapter 18, and pursuant to Chapter 4, Rules and Regulations of the
Department of Agriculture (AGR-lOl-120), the forester of the City of Hopkins has
found conditions indicating the presence of Dutch Elm or Oak Wilt infestation exist
and have existed upon the following properties:

WHEREAS, notice of such findings has been given to the owners of record
of the premises; and
WHEREAS, no part of said infected trees has been removed or otherwise
treated,
WHEREAS, a hearing was held on the 5th day of July 1983, giving all
property owners a chance to be heard.
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Hopkins, as follows:
That the City will take action to remove said infected trees and assess
the cost thereof to the owners of record.
Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Hopkins, Minnesota at a
regular meeting held the 2nd day of August 1983.
