Hopkins, Minnesota 55343
Dear Mr. Craig:
The Metropolitan Transit Commission Service Planning Scheduling
Department staff have received a request from the Jewish Vocational
Service (J.V.S.), an employer of mentally handicapped persons, for
limited rush hour bus service to their new location on 16th Ave. and
5th Street So. in Hopkins.
J.V.S. would occupy the site beginning December 1, 1983. It is proposed
that one morning and one mid afternoon bus be diverted via the route
shown on the attached map to serve the new J.V.S. site.
Before the MTC may begin operations, written permission is required from
the city for the use of the following city streets which do not
currently carry MTC bus traffic:
o On South 5th Street between llth Avenue S. and 16th Avenue S.
o On 16th Avenue South from 5th St. to 6th St.
o On 6th Street from 16th Ave. S. to 15th Ave. S.
o On 15th Avenue South from 6th St. to 5th St.
Your prompt attention to this matter is greatly appreciated. If you
should have any further questions regarding this proposal, please feel
free to call either John Dillery or myself at 221 -0939.
Sincerely,
2 J-
