ORDINANCE NO. 82 -517
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THAT PART OF HOPKINS ZONING ORDINANCE
NO. 427 PERTAINING TO AND CHANGING THE ZONING OF THE EAST HALF
OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF SECTION 25, TOWNSHIP 117, RANGE
22, AND DOTS 1-30 INCLUSIVE OF BLOCKS 1 AND 2, DAVISON'S
ADDITION TO WEST MINNEAPOLIS AND ALSO A PORTION OF THE
NORTH HALF OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF SECTION 19, TOWNSHIP
117, RANGE 21; AND ALSO VACATING PLAT, STREETS, AND ALLEYS
THEREIN.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Hopkins as
follows: That Hopkins Zoning Ordinance No. 427 is hereby amended as follows:
SECTION 1: That the present provisions regarding the zoning
uses for the following premises are hereby repealed and there is hereby enacted
and adopted in lieu thereof the following zoning uses in said locations:
a. The East half of the Southwest Quarter of the Southwest
Quarter of Section 25, Township 117, Range 22; and all
of Lots 1 to 30 inclusive, Block 1, and Lots 1 to 30
inclusive, Block 2, Davison's Addition to West Minneapolis
including the vacated alleys and 12th and 13th Avenues in
said block, are hereby rezoned from R -6 to R-4 P.U.D.
(Planned Unit Development) uses.
b. That part of the North half of the Northwest Quarter of
Section 19, Township 117, Range 21, described as follows:
Commencing at a point in the South line of said North
half distant 1214.3 feet West of the Southeast corner of
said North half; thence at right angles North a distance
of 200 feet; thence at right angles West to the center
line of Hennepin County State Aid Highway No. 18; thence
Northerly along the center line of said Hennepin County
State Aid Highway No. 18 to the North line of said
Section 19; thence East along said North section line
to a point which is determined by the extension Northerly
of the Westerly boundary line of VanBuren Avenue; thence
Southwesterly along said extension line of VanBuren Avenue
and of the Westerly line of VanBuren Avenue to its
extension with the South line of said North half of
the Northwest Quarter; thence West along said South line
of said North half of the Northwest Quarter to the
point of beginning, are hereby rezoned from B -1 to R -2
uses
SECTION 2: That Blocks 1 and 2, Davison's Addition to West
Minneapolis including the alleys in said Blocks and including that part of
12th and 13th Avenues in said plat which lie between the south boundary line
of 10th Street South and the north boundary line of llth Street South in said
Davison's Addition are hereby vacated.
SECTION 3: That the presently existing Hopkins Zoning map
adopted as part of Hopkins Zoning Ordinance No. 427 is hereby amended and
changed in accordance with the above provisions.
First read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City
of Hopkins held August 17, 1982, and finally read, approved, adopted and ordered
published at a T8peciall meeting of said Council of said C y on Auguat ^3
