Moving & Sale of HS House0 TO Jim Kerrigan. FROM Anne Norris INTER OFFICE MEMO SUBJECT Sale of Historical Society House HOPKINS, MINNESOTA 55343 I received 13 applications for the purchase and moving of the former Historical Society House. All applications fit into the Hopkins Housing Rehab program income limits. Furthermore, all applicants are aware of the sales restriction on the house and the rehab program guidelines. Following is a ranking of the applicants 11 points Walter Dawn Ellefson 10 points Michael and Kimberly LaBerge Thomas and Dawn Opitz Dennis and Barbara Dore 9 points 8 points 5 points 3 points 2 points David and Elizabeth Geis Brian and Christine Barlage Wade and Luanne Rosenlund Ken and Debra Faucher Charles and Julie Anderson William and Dorothy Lipe CITY OF HOPKINS 1010 FIRST STREET SOUTH PHONE: 938 -8474 Marjorie Niesen Steve Olsen and Pam Nelson Joel Wernecke not a family DATE October 12, 19 82 The applicant with the highest number of points is a Hopkins resident, first time home buyer, with three children. On October 19 I will be requesting the City Council to allow the City to enter into a redevelopment contract for sale of the house in accordance with Program Guidelines. If the highest ranking applicant family can financially qualify (which it appears they can) the sale will be made to them. Otherwise the sale will be awarded to one of the three second highest scoring applicants (a lottery method probably will be used, if necessary, to rank these applicants). Finally, if the weather holds out and the necessary paper work can be completed, the move is still anticipated to be completed this year.
