Vesely, City Attorney CITY OF HOPKINS Hennepin County, Minnesota RESOLUTE- NO. 82 -3000 A RESOLUTION ORDERING ABATEMENT BY REMOVING CERTAIN INFECTED ELM AND OR/OAK TREES IN VARIOUS LOCATIONS IN THE CITY OF HOPKINS BY THE CITY WHEREAS, Pursuant to City of Hopkins Ordinance No. 79 -467 and pursuant to MEA Chapter 18, and pursuant to chapter 4, rules and regulations of the Department of Agriculture (AGR 101 -120), the forester of the City of Hopkins has found conditions indicating the presence of Dutch Elm or Oak Wilt infestation exist and have existed upon the following properties: 44 5th Avenue South 226 Van Buren Avenue North 26 7th Avenue North 312 Wilshire Walk $163.01 $108.50 $295.89 $260.41 WHEREAS, notice of such findings has been given to the owners of record of the premises; and WHEREAS, a resolution of the City Council of Hopkins, Minnesota on the 16th day of February, 1982 fixed a date for hearing on the proposed abatement by the City, and WHEREAS, notice of hearing was published at least one week prior to the hearing, and WHEREAS, said property owners were heard on the 2nd day of March 1982, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Hopkins, Minnesota as follows: 1. The City will take action to abate the nuisance by removing the infected trees and assessing the proper charges to the owners of said property.
