Liquor Violation- Knutson LiquorsTI 1- 1. 1117 -J 1i 1111 i i x_11■__' M E M O R A N D U M TO: William Craig, City Manager FROM: Butch LaBerge, Police Superintendent SUBJECT: LIQUOR VIOLATION; KNUTSON LIQUORS CITY OF HOPKINS 1010 FIRST STREET SOUTH HOPKINS, MINNESOTA 55343 612/935-8474 DATE: March 1, 1982 On 12- 12 -81, Mr. Arhando Dicicco, an employee of Knutson's Liquors was charged with liquor sales to a juvenile. On the previous evening, the arresting officer, Kevin Sorlie, had warned this employee and the manager of the store for selling to another minor. The officer is a rookie and was unaware of the policy not to warn for violations of this nature. Regardless, a warning was given and some 24 hours later another violation was committed. The Police Department recommends that the City Council suspend the liquor license for Knutson's Liquors for a short period of time (one to three days). On February 17, 1982, Mr. Dicicco pled guilty to the charge and was fined $99.00 (inc. $9.00 surcharge). As far as the Hopkins Police Dep t. is concerned, the case is closed. 1010 FIRST STREET SOUTH HOPKINS, MINNESOTA 55343 612/935 -8474 TO O.L.
