It is the recommendation of the Public Works Operations Department that the
low bid of ALLIED BLACKTOP utilizing Options 1 and 2 (CRS 2 Asphalt) be
accepted $42,900.00 for Streets and $2,860.00 for Parking Lots, being a
grand total of $45,760.00.
The Public Works estimate for this project was $48,000.00 using RC800
Asphalt. The request for options 1 and 2 were added because of the ever
increasing costs of Asphalt and the new regulations that in 1982 the RC
Asphalts will not be available.
Thank you for your consideration of this matter.
