RESOLUTION NO. 81 -2939
RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT AND
PREPARATION OF PLANS
WHEREAS, a Resolution of the City Council No. 81 -2914 adopted the 17th
day of March, 1981, fixed a date for a hearing on the proposed improvement of Tyler
Avenue North from Second Street Northeast to St. Louis Street; St. Louis Street from
Tyler Avenue North to Excelsior Avenue; Jackson Avenue North from Second Street North-
east to St. Louis Street, by the installation of concrete curb and gutter, street
construction and storm sewer thereon, the total estimated cost thereof being $29,130.00
for bituminous surfacing on Jackson Avenue and $251,188.00 for bituminous or concrete
construction on Tyler Avenue and St. Louis Street, and
WHEREAS, all property owners whose property is liable to be assessed for
the making of these improvements were given ten days published notice of the council
hearing through two weelky publications of the required notice, and a hearing was held
and the property owners heard thereon on the 2nd day of June, 1981.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HOPKINS,
1. Such improvements are hereby ordered as proposed in the Council
Resolution No. 81 -2914 adopted March 17th, 1981.
2. That John Strojan, City Engineer, is hereby designated as the Engineer
for these improvements and he shall prepare plans and specifications for the making
of such improvements.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Hopkins, Minnesota, this
2nd day of June, 1981.
