Resolution 81-2970- Praying HC District Court for Appointment of a New Hpks Cty Charter CommissionCITY OF HOPKINS Hennepin County, Minnesota RESOLUTION NO. 81 -2970 RESOLUTION PRAYING THE DISTRICT COURT OF HENNEPIN COUNTY FOURTH JUDICIAL DISTRICT FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF A NEW HOPKINS CITY CHARIER COMMISSION WHEREAS, the City of Hopkins is incorporated under the Home Rule Charter which was originally passed and adopted in 1946. WHEREAS, the last Hopkins City Charter Commission consisting of eleven members was Auly..appointed by the above Court on or about March 25, 1976 all pursuant to M.S.A. 410.05. WHEREAS, the terms of all of the members of said Hopkins Charter Commission have expired. WHEREAS, the City deems it necessary that a new Charter Commission be reappointed for the City of Hopkins. NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby resloved that the City Attorney is hereby ordered to submit to the above Court a proposed Charter Commission for the City consisting of eleven members, the terms of six of which shall expire two years from the date of this order and the remaining five shall expire four years from the date thereof, all pursuant to M.S.A. 410.05.
