RESOLUTION ADOPTING ASSESSMENTS

WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly published nad given as required
by law, the City Council of the City of Hopkins has met and heard on September 15,
1981, and passed upon all objections to the proposed assessments for the improve-
ment of certain streets, avenues and thoroughfares in the City of Hopkins, all as
more fully set forth and described in Exchibit A. attached to Resolution No.
81 -2957 adopted July 21st, 1981, and
WHEREAS, each of said improvements as set forth in Exhibit A. hereto
attached, were presented and considered by said Council spearately at said
meeting and each separately accepted and adopted by unanimous vote of said
Hopkins Council:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOPKINS, MINNESOTA,
as follows:
1. Such proposed assessments, a copy of which is attached hereto and made
a part hereof and hereby accepted and shall constitute the special assessments
against the lands therein named and each tract of land therein included is hereby
bound to be benefitted by the proposed improvement in the amount of the assess-
ments levied against it.
2. Such assessments shall be payable in equal, annual installments extend-
ing over the periods of years set forth in the Schedule of Assessments, the first
of the installments to be paybale on or before January 2nd, 1982. Any deferred
installments shall bear interest at the rate as set forth in the said Schedule
of Assessmens fro m the 1st day of October, 1981. To the first installments shall
be added interest on the entire respective assessments from October 1st, 1981
until December 31st, 1981. To each subsequent installments, when due shall be
added interest for one year on all unpaid installments.
3. The owner of any property so assessed may at anytime except between
November 15th and December 31st, prior to the certification of the assessments
to the Hennepin County Auditor, as herein provided, pay the whole of the assess-
ments against any parcel with interest accrued to date of payment, to the City
Manager, except that no interest shall be charged if the entire assessment is paid
before November 15th. Also, the owner of any property may at any time thereafter,
except between November 15th and December 31st, of each year, pay to the City
Manager, the entire amount of the assessments remaining unpaid.
4. The Clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate or duplicates
of these assessments to the Hennepin County Auditor to be extended on the proper
tax lists of the County, and such assessments shall be collected and paid over in
the same manner as other municipal taxes.
Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Hopkins, Minnesota, this
15th day of September, 1981.
