Ordinance 81-497CITY OF HOPKINS HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA ORDINANCE NO. 81-497 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 700:169.39 OF THE HOPKINS CODE OF ORDINANCES PERTAINING TO LIMITED TIME PARKING AND NO PARKING ZONES AND REMOVALS THEREFROM BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Hopkins, as follows: That Section 700:169.39 of the Hopkins Code of Ordinances be and the same is hereby repealed and there are hereby adopted and ordainedthe following provisions in place thereof: Subdivision 39. LIMITED TITS PARKING AND NO PARKING ZONES AND REMOVALS THEREFROM: The Council may by resolution or resolutions designate Limited Time Parking and No Parking Zones and pursuant thereto, the Hopkins Police Department shall cause the posting and maintenance of appropriate signs at the locations so designated, which signs shall indicate in accordance with such resolutions the No Parking Zones or the specified time limit zones for Parking. Subdivision 39A. REMOVAL: Any vehicle or other obstruction left parked or standing on any thoroughfare gin. Hopkins which is posted as a No Parking Zone or which has exceeded the time limit established and posted for Parking, may be towed or otherwise removed by or under the direction of any Police Officer and whenever such vehicle or other obstruction is thus towed or removed, the expense of such removal, including storage charges shall be charged against and paid by the owner or operator of such vehicle or obstruction. No such removal sha11 prevent prosecution against the owner or operator for any violation of this ordinance. This Subdivision 39 and 39A does not repeal Subdivision 33, 34 and 35 of Section 700:169 as passed and adopted by Hopkins Ordinance No. 79 -465.
