Subject: Appointment to the Human Rights Commission
I am recommending that the following individual be appointed to the Human Rights Commission:
Kait Taha
Please accept and concur with these appointments.
With this appointment, the Human Rights Commission will have fourteen regular members and two
student members.
Hopkins City Code Section 340.03- Establishment and Composition. There is hereby
reestablished a Human Rights Commission of the City of Hopkins. The Commission shall be
composed of at least nine and no more than fifteen members for three year terms. A majority
of members shall be residents of Hopkins. In addition, two students from Hopkins High
School who live in Hopkins, may be appointed for a 1 year term.

Briefly describe your education and experience:
I have aB.A in Internatlonal Relations from St Cloud State University, during this time I volunteered at the Center for Holocaust
and Genocide Education and held leadership positions in AIESEC, a student run global organization that exchanges fellow
students on internships and supports them I went to Alexandria, Fgypt for a marketing internship in 2004_ I returners to Fgypt and
spent a couple more years working in Cairo teaching English and working for Ericsson. I am currently working towards a Graduate
Certificate in Geographic Information Systems

I am incredibly passionate about heing of diaiogue that opens up cultural Issuesand supports a diverse population. I want to
get involved in projects that accomplish this and provide educational services to schools and the city. I am new to the Hopkins area
and lnnk forward to being part of the community I feel I can do that hest by serving on the Human Rights commission
