Commission Minutes ZONING AND PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES June 28, 1994 A regular meeting of the Zoning and Planning Commission was held on Tuesday, June 28, 1994 at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of Hopkins City Hall. Present were Commission members Reuter, Gullickson, Winship, Racek, Day, Johnson, Hutchison, and Anderson. Also present were staff members Lee Gustafson and Nancy Anderson. CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 6:30 by Chairperson Reuter. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Mr. Hutchison moved and Mr. Gullickson seconded the motion to approve the minutes of the May 31, 1994 meeting. The motion carried unanimously. 4110 CASE NO. CUP 94 -1 CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT KATHERINE CURREN SCHOOL Staff reviewed the application for the Commission. John Pfluger from the Cuningham Hamilton Quiter Architectural firm presented changes to the bus turn around plan. The public hearing was opened at 6:40. No one appeared in regards to this item. The public hearing was closed at 6:41. There was little discussion on this matter. Mr. Hutchison moved and Mr. Johnson seconded a motion to approve Resolution RZ94 -6 recommending approval of a conditional use permit for Katherine Curren School. The motion passed unanimously. CASE NO. VAC94 1 STREET VACATION EDGEMOOR DRIVE Public hearing to consider a vacation of a portion of Edgemoor Drive abutting 105 Cottage Downs. Staff reviewed this item for the Commission. Zoning and Planning Commission Minutes June 28, 1994 410 Zvi Leiborich from Paragon Builders stated he has a purchase agreement to buy this home. He plans to remodel this home and sell it. The public hearing was opened at 6:45. There was no one in the audience to speak on this matter. The public hearing was closed at 6:46. There was little discussion on this item. Mr. Hutchison moved and Mr. Day seconded a motion to approve Resolution No. RZ94 -7 approving a vacation of Edgemoor Drive abutting 105 Cottage Downs. The motion passed unanimously. ITEM: REVIEW 1995 1999 C.I.P. Staff member Lee Gustafson briefly reviewed the draft of the C.I.P. There was discussion on replacing the portable rink at Burnes Park with a permanent rink. Mr. Gustafson stated he would bring the Commission's concerns to the attention of staff. Mr. Winship moved and Mr. Racek seconded a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:20 p.m. The meeting adjourned by unanimous consent.
