Subject: Moratorium on Subdivisions
CITY OF HOPKINS
The following resolution is to place a moratorium on subdivisions
in R -1 -D Districts. The Bellgrove Improvement Association has asked the
Commission to consider a zoning change for larger lots. This moratorium
would provide time for the staff to research the feasibility of changing
the minimum lot size in R -1 -D Districts.
The procedure for the Commission if it decides to recommend approval
of the moratorium is to recommend to the City Council adoption of the attached
resolution.'
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Hopkins,
Minnesota,
Effective immediately, a moratorium shall be placed upon the approval
of all subdivisions within

This moratorium shall be for the purposes of zoning review, and shall
expire upon the enactment or denial of a zoning amendment concerning this
matter, or upon-Kay-6,-4987, whichever shall come first. This moratorium
shall not affect subdivisions in other districts.
Whereas, the City of Hopkins has approved Ordinance No 427 approving
a zoning ordinance,

Whereas it has been determined that it necessary for the health,
safety, and welfare of the residents of the City of Hopkins to amend this
ordinance,
Whereas, Chapter 462.355 Subd. 4 allows a City to adopt an interim
ordinance when undertaking a study to revise the zoning ordinance.
