Fence• • 0 January 25, 1984 Case No: 84 -02 Applicant: Edward Cohen for Oak Ridge Country Club Location: 700 Oakridge Road Request: Conditional Use Permit to construct a special purpose fence STAFF FINDINGS & COMMENTS: Norris 1. Applicant is requesting a Conditional Use Permit to construct a six foot special purpose fence. Proposed fence is to go along the perimeter of the property except for a portion along Loring Road which is owned by the City. Property is in an R -1 -D district. 2. Ordinance 427.11(8) states that fences for special purposes may be permitted by a Conditional Use Permit upon reasons submitted by applicant that such special purpose is necessary to protect, buffer or improve the premises for which such fence is intended. Applicant has stated that the proposed fence is necessary to deter vandalism of the property and to preclude an attractive nuisance. ?. The Police Department records do show several cases of vandalism to the greens when cars were driven across them. 4. Proposed fence is to be a galvanized chain link fence. 5. Applicant was provided with a list of adjacent property owners and stated that he would try to meet with them.
