APPROVE RESOLUTION 2010 -012 AMENDING CHAPTER 10 OF THE HOPKINS
CITY CODE
Proposed Action
Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: adopt Resolution 2010 -012,
amending Chapter 10 of the Hopkins City Code.
Overview
In February and March of this year, the Hopkins City Council adopted three new
ordinances, the vacant property ordinance, the demolition of dwelling units in residential
zoning districts, and an ordinance establishing a license for mobile food carts.
The three adopted ordinances specifically mention fees for registration or licensure and
penalties for violations of section 513, Demolition of Dwelling Units.
Adoption of Resolution 2010 -012 places these fees into the fee schedules of Chapter
10 of the Hopkins City Code.
Alternatives
1. Adopt Resolution 2010 -012
2. Continue the item for further consideration
3. Do nothing
Staff recommends option one.
