NOTICE OF HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENTS
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Hopkins
will meet in the C ouncil Chambers of the City Hall at Hopkins, Minnesota, at
7:30 o'clock P.M., on August 17th, 1982, to pass upon the proposed special
assessments for the improvements of certain streets, avenues, highways, alleys
and thoroughfares, all more particularly described in Exhibit A. hereto attached
and hereby made a part hereof.
The proposed assessments are on file for public inspection in the office
of the City Clerk at said City Hall.
Written or oral objections will be considered and heard at said hearing.
An owner may appeal an assessment to district court pursuant to Minnesota
Statutes Section 429.081 by serving notice of the appeal upon the mayor or clerk
of the city within 20 days after the adoption of the assessment and filing such
notice with the district court within ten days after service upon the mayor or
clerk.
The total cost of each of said improvements are set forth in said Exhibit
A. and unless otherwise stated herein, the City will pay no part of any of such
assessments.

West Minneapolis Second Division.
4. Storm Sewer on 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th and 17th Avenue North, total cost
of the project being $10,840.00 of which none is proposed to be assessed.
5. Concrete curb and gutter on Tyler Avenue North from Lake Street Northeast to
approximately 400 feet south, total cost of the project being $3,549.53 and
the properties to be assessed being: The north 434 feet of west 581 55 /100
feet of Tract K, Registered Land Survey No. 561; Lot 9, Block 1, Stevens
Oakwood Park; Lots 49, 50, 51, 52 and 73, Block 1, Auburn South.
6. Street surfacing on Tyler Avenue North from Lake Street Northeast to approximately
400 feet south, total cost of the project being $2,288.5 and the properties to
be assessed being: The north 434 feet of west 581 55/100 feet of Tract K,
Registered Land Survey No. 561; Lot 9, Block 1, Stevens Oakwood Park; Lots 49,
50, 51, 52 and 73, Block 1, Auburn South.
7. Concrete sidewalk along the front of the east 1/2 of Lot 6 and all of Lot 7,
Block 1, Boulevard Manor (Dairy Queen), total cost of the project being $864.21
and the properties proposed to be assessed being: That part of Lot 6 lying east's
of west 20 feet thereof and Lot 7, Block 1, Boulevard Manor.
8. Concrete sidewalk and driveways on the north side of First Street North between
6th Avenue North and 7th Avenue North, total cost of the project being $2,899.76
and the properties proposed to be assessed being: Lots 1 thru 24, inclusive,
Block 82, West Minneapolis Second Division.
9. Concrete sidewalk and driveway on the east side of 5th Avenue North at the front
of the parsonage and Zion Lutheran Church, total cost of the project being
$3,718.97 and the area proposed to be assessed being: Lots 1 thru 4, inclusive
and commencing at northwest corner of Lot 17, thence south to southwest corner
of Lot 12, thence east 133.58 feet, thence northerly to southeast corner of Lot
15, thence northeasterly to a point in southwesterly line of road distance 12.5
feet southeasterly from northeast corner of Lot 17, thence northwesterly to
beginning, Burnside Addition.
10. Concrete sidewalk on the south side of First Street North from 12th Avenue to
14th Avenue North, total cost of the project being $4,569.44 and the area proposed
to be assessed being: Lots 1 thru 9, inclusive and 16 thru 24, inclusive, also
the east 1/2 of the adjacent portion of 13th Avenue vacated, Block 71 and Lots
1 thru 9, inclusive and 16 thru 24, inclusive, also all vacated alleys lying
within Block 72 and the west 1/2 of the adjacent portion of 13th Avenue vacated,
Block 72, both parcels in West Minneapolis Second Division.
11. Widening concrete driveway at 22 -20th Avenue North, total cost of the project
being $179.48 and to be assessed to Lots 8 and 9, Block 13, West Minneapolis
Third Division.
12. Concrete driveway at 114 -20th Avenue North, total cost being $368.85 and the
property to be assessed being Lots 11 and 12, Block 12, West Minneapolis Third
Division.
13. Elimination of the grade crossing - cross section on 12th Avenue North, total
cost being $29,063.15 of which none is proposed to be assessed.
14. Concrete repairs on 12th Avenue South from Excelsior Avenue to 2nd Street South
and on 1st Street South from llth Avenue to 12th Avenue South, total cost being
$19,400.90 of which none is proposed to be assessed.
15. Concrete sidewalk on llth Avenue South, north and south of First Street South,
total cost being $3,984.58 of which none is proposed to be assessed.
16. Widen driveway at 146 -10th Avenue North, total cost being $106.61 and the property
to be assessed being: Lots 1 and 2, Block 78, West Minneapolis Second Division.
17. Concrete repairs at the following locations: south side of 1st Street North from
llth Avenue North to 1/2 block west; east side of 9th Avenue North from Excelsior
northerly 450 feet and on the south side of Excelsior Avenue at 814 Excelsior
Avenue West, total cost being $7,476.15 of which none is proposed to be assessed.
