"Contractor ", and the CITY OF HOPKINS, a municipal corporation in the County of Hennepin, State of Minnesota, Party of the Second Part, hereinafter referred to as the "City "; WITNESSETH: That the Contractor, in consideration of the covenants and agreements of the City and for the consideration hereinabove more fully described, hereby agrees to supply all labor, equipment and other particulars as specified in the plans and specifications, not to exceed for more than one year, commencing January 1, 1985 and to do and perform as follows: The Contractor will furnish and provide as advance - reservation, shared -ride paratransit system within the City limits of Hopkins, and also to and from the following locations: 1. Methodist Hospital 2. Opportunity Workshop in Opus II 3. Shady Oak Beach The Contractor will also furnish subscription services for daily recurring trips. Individuals may reserve service for the following day providing arrangements therefor are not made later than 4:00 p.m. the day previous to such service. The Contractor hereby agrees to provide a complete taxi service package which will be operated twelve hours per day between 6:00 a.m. and 6 :00 p.m., for six days each week, Monday, through 1 • Saturday, through December 31, 1985. The operation of cabs pursuant to this Agreement shall be responsive to demand and non - demand transit periods, as more full set forth in the notice for bids and bid filed by the Contractor and accepted by the City. The Contractor will participate in all marketing plans and programs designated by the project coordinator. The plans may include, but are not limited to: 1. A name for the transit service 2. Advertising photographs 2. Some type of vehicle identification a. decal designs and lettering b. magnetic promotional signs The Contractor bears no cost for the marketing materials or preparation. However, the Contractor will supply the vehicles and drivers to carry out the plans. The service to be provided by the Contractor includes, but is not limited to the following: 1. Operator(s) with taxi(s) at specified times 2. All maintenance costs for operation 3. coverage which meet Minnesota DOT and Hopkins' standards 4. Scheduling and dispatching, including a separate telephone number 5. Record keeping and some data collection 6. Fare and ticket collection 7. Any other responsibility related to taxi operator not specified.
