Overview
The City has received kart applicatioIl Ibr a zoning amendment from Holiday Companies for ail
electronic mess,,igTe center below the gas l)ricc sign. Although Holiday wants to change their
sign, the amendment would atIbct more than their location. Holiday currently has a manually
cha iigcable sizn on their pylon at the southwest corner of Excelsior Boulevard and I I"' Avenue
South. l loli(lay Inas submitted a proposed alnieildment, and it is narrowly ti;)cused on permitting
this type ol`signage with limitations in the B-3 zoninit district,

hour period. Holiday originally proposed that the sign change every eight seconds. Attached is

Tile proposed amendment would allow electronic changeable signs that change every eight
SCCOJI(ls, and these sips would be allowed in the B-3 zoning district abutting Stift and County
roads. The existing ordinance allows clecti,ollic signs, but they can change only once every 24
hours.
