Memo - Second Reading of Ordinance 10-10240 MEMO To: City Council From: Nancy Anderson Date: July 14, 2010 Subject: Second Reading for Ordinance 10-1024 Attached is Ordinance 10-1024 for second reading. This ordinance will rezone 7630 Excelsior Boulevard from 1-2 to Business Park. Staff discussed the setback issue on the east side of the property with the City Attorney, and following his counsel, Hopkins would use the Business Park setback. The site is one parcel, with the east 30 feet located in St. Louis Park. The east side setback would be measured from the east side property line in St. Louis Park. The Hopkins Business Park setback is 20 feet, and St. Louis Park's setback is 12 feet. Any redevelopment of • this site would require working with the staff of St. Louis Park. The City Council's action is to approve the ordinance for second reading and order it published. Attachment • CITY OF HOPKINS • Hennepin County, Minnesota ORDINANCE NO. 10-1024 AN ORDINANCE REZONING 7630 EXCELSIOR BOULEVARD FROM I-2, GENERAL INDUSTRIAL, TO BUSINESS PARK THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HOPKINS DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: That the present zoning classification of I-2, General Industrial, upon the following described premises is hereby repealed, and in lieu thereof, the said premises are hereby zoned as Business Park: West 151 feet of the east 851.3 feet of south 461 feet of that part of northwest'/ of southwest 1/ lying north of center line of Excelsior Boulevard excluding road. The official zoning map is hereby amended to change the zoning classification of the above described property to Business Park.
