WAme�., the Hopkins VFW Post # 425 was founded on June 30, 1920 and is
named after George R. Wolff, who was the first man from Hopkins to die in World
War I; and
WAffeaj,, each Memorial Day the Hopkins VFW Post # 425 honors veterans
who have served in foreign conflicts; and
MffeaQ, the Hopkins VFW Post # 425 has been serving the Hopkins area for
ninety years; and
W fear. The Hopkins VFW Post # 425 has been involved in numerous projects
such as the Raspberry Festival, Senior Citizens Dinners, Bingo Night at the VA
Hospital, Polio Dance for Sister Kenny Fund, Laun E. Anderson Fishing Contest -
an annual part of the Raspberry Festival; and
Wiigemaj, the Hopkins VFW Post # 425 has 631 members, men and women of
high character and commitment to service.

of the Hopkins VFW Post # 425, be it resolved that I, Eugene J. Maxwell, Mayor of
the City of Hopkins, Minnesota, do hereby proclaim the celebration of 90 years
of service of the

In the City of Hopkins, and does also encourage all citizens to celebrate with the
Hopkins VFW Post # 425 in recognizing all of their achievements over the past 90
years.
