CR 10-105 Fire Lane Designation for Concord USASeptember 21, 2010
Council Report 2010 - 105
Fire Lane Designation for Concord USA
Proposed Action
Staff recommends approval of the following motion: Move to Adopt Resolution No 2010-060
designating new fire lanes for Concord USA.
Overview
The owners of the Concord USA requested fire lanes to be placed on both sides of road in and
around the complex. The fire lanes would restrict any parking along the curb line on either
side. If parking was allowed along the road way it would restrict emergency vehicles to access
to the Concord USA Property.
Primary Issue to Consider
Is this fire lane necessary?
Yes. If cars are allowed to park along curbs fire trucks and police units will be blocked
from getting to the building.
