Hopkins Area Jaycees Raspberry Festival Dances on July 15, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
and on July 16, 2011 from 12:00 noon to 12:00 a.m. to allow the sale of strong beer.
Overview
The Hopkins Area Jaycees are holding dances during the Raspberry Festival on July 15th and 16tH
Last year was the first year that the Jaycees requested a temporary Liquor License for strong beer
instead of a temporary 3.2% Malt Liquor License. There were no problems with the strong beer.
A temporary liquor license will give them the ability to sell full liquor, beer and wine. The motion
would limit the license to the sale of strong beer only. If the Council would like to approve any other
type of alcoholic beverage, it should be mentioned in the motion. Other items might include wine
coolers.
The police have reviewed the application and prefer find no reason to deny.
Wcertificate of insurance has been submitted.
