Approve a Temporary Liquor License for
Augustana Chapel View Care Center
Proposed Action
Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Approve a temporary liquor license for
Augustana Care Corporation at Chapel View Care Center, 615 Minnetonka Mills Rd, for July 23,
2011, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
Overview
Augustana Chapel View Care Center will be hosting their annual donors dinner to plan
upcoming fund raising events. This will be held at Chapel View, 615 Minnetonka Mills Road.
They would like to serve wine with the dinner. They will need a temporary license to serve the
wine at the event. There will not be an obvious sale, but because the only way to be served, is
to have given a "gift" to the organization, there is an "in-kind" sale.
Primary Issues to Consider
• The State of Minnesota issues this license after The City of Hopkins approves it. If the
• state shut down is still in effect after the Council Meeting on July 19, 2011, the license will
not be approved or issued by the state even if Hopkins approves it.
