Analysis of the Issues
What other economic issues are included in the new contract?
There is a small increase in the uniform budget for 2013 and 2014. There are also increases in 2013
and 2014 for the additional amounts employees receive who have special licenses such as water &
sewer or pesticide applicator.
How does this agreement fit in the budget?
Having no increase in 2012 will, of course, fit within the budget for 2012.
Alternatives
1. Approve the contract.
2. Do not approve the contract. Staff would have to renegotiate the contract.
Staff recommends Alternative #1.
