NON UNION WAGE INCREASE
Proposed Action
Staff recommends that the Council approve the following motion: Move approval of Resolution No. 2012-
001 establishing wag increases for non union employees.
This action will establish wage increases for non union employees identical to Local 49 and the
Dispatchers.
Overview
The City has settled contracts for Local 49 and the Dispatchers that call for a 0% wage increase effective
January 1, 2012, 2% wage increase in 2013, and a 3% wage increase in 2014. The 2014 increase is split
between 2% January 1 and I% July 1. There are no increases in the City contribution towards insurance.
•Historically, non union employees have received wage increases similar to that granted to union employees.
The 0% in 2012 follows 2% in 2011 and 0% in 2010.

RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A
SALARY SCHEDULE FOR NON UNION EMPLOYEES
WHEREAS, non union employees in the City of Hopkins do not belong to any
bargaining unit; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has historically granted a wage increase to non union
employees which is similar to that negotiated by union employees; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved a three year contract with two bargaining
units;
THEREFORE BE IT NOW RESOLVED that non union employees shall receive wage
increases for 2012, 2013, and 2014 as follows:
