AT CONCLUSION OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
Tuesday, January 3, 2012
Mayor Maxwell called the meeting to order at 8:30 P.M.
Present at the meeting were:
Mayor Maxwell City Manager Mike Mornson
Council Member Jason Gadd Council Member Cheryl Youakim
Council Member Kristi Halverson Council Member Molly Cummings
Council member Cheryl Youakim stated that she and her husband will be at Captain Tony
Hanlin's retirement party.
Council member Jason Gadd stated that he will miss the January 10th Council meeting.
Council member Jason Gadd inquired about the Jaycee event.
Council member Molly Cummings discussed the program for the State of the City event on
February 28, 2012.
Council member Molly Cummings discussed the upcoming joint meetings.
City Manager Momson provided the following updates:
1. The public informational meeting will be January 1 lth at 6:00 p.m. in the council
chambers for the 2012 street project. The public hearing will be January 17th in from of
the council.
2. The Shady Oak Road project information meeting for property owners will be January 24
at 5:00 p.m. at a place in Minnetonka.
3. A monthly schedule was passed out to the Mayor and Council members showing the
events during the year.
4. There will be a meeting with James Whiskers and other staff from Minnehaha Watershed
District to start the discussion on the process to develop the Cold Storage property. We
will be looking at a joint meeting with the Watershed board in the next 120 days.
5. Hopkins Art Center event on January 14, 2012, appreciation for the volunteers and their
board.
6. Captain Tony Hanlin's retirement party is on January 13, 2012.
There being no further business Council member Cummings moved and Council Member Gadd
seconded a motion to adjourn. The meeting was adjourned by unanimous consent at 8:55 p.m.
