RESOLUTION REESTABLISHING PRECINCT BOUNDARIES
AND POLLING PLACES
WHEREAS, The 2010 Census is complete and;
WHEREAS, the legislature of the State of Minnesota has been redistricted and;
WHEREAS, Hopkins is no longer divided into two Congressional Districts,
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute Section 204B.14, subd. 3 (d) requires that precinct
boundaries must be reestablished within 60 days of when the legislature has been redistricted or
at least 19 weeks before the state primary election, whichever comes first;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Hopkins,
County of Hennepin, State of Minnesota hereby reestablishes the boundaries of the voting
precincts and polling places as follows:
Precinct No. 1
Beginning at the NW corner of said precinct, the area bounded by a line commencing at the
intersection of 12th Ave N and State Highway No 7, then easterly along State Highway No 7 to its
intersection with the northerly city limits, then easterly along the city limits to their intersection
with Blake Rd N, then southerly along Blake Rd N to its intersection with Lake St NE, then
westerly along Lake St NE to its intersection with Tyler Ave N, then southerly along Tyler Ave
N to its intersection with 2nd St NE, then westerly along 2nd St NE to its intersection with
Minnetonka Mills Rd, then northwesterly along Minnetonka Mills Rd to its intersection with 11 th
Ave S, then southerly along 11th Ave S to its intersection with 4th S N, then westerly along 4th St
N to its intersection with 12th Ave N, then northerly along 12th Ave N to the point of beginning.
Precinct No. 2
Beginning at the NW corner of said precinct, the area bounded by a line commencing at the
intersection of Blake Rd N and the northerly city limits, then easterly and continuing in a
clockwise direction along the city limits to their intersection with US Highway No 169, then
northerly along US Highway No 169 to its intersection with Excelsior Blvd, then southwesterly
along Excelsior Blvd to its intersection with 5th Ave N, then northerly along 5th Ave N to its
intersection with Minnetonka Mills Rd, then southeasterly along Minnetonka Mills Rd to its
intersection with 2nd St NE, then easterly along 2nd St NE to its intersection with Tyler Ave N,
then northerly along Tyler Ave N to its intersection with Lake St NE, The easterly along Lake St
NE to its intersection with Blake Rd N, then northerly along Blake Rd N to the point of
beginning.

Beginning at the NW corner of said precinct, the area bounded by a line commencing at the
intersection of 5th Ave S and Excelsior Blvd, then northeasterly along Excelsior Blvd to its
intersection with US Highway No 169, then southerly along US Highway No 169 to its
intersection with the southerly city limits, then southerly and westerly along the city limits to
their intersection with 11th Ave S, then northerly along 11 th Ave S to its intersection with 6th St S,
then easterly along 6th St S to its intersection with 7th Ave S, then northerly along 7th Ave S to its
intersection with 5th St S, then easterly along 5th St S to its intersection with vacated 6th Ave S,
then northerly along vacated 6th Ave S to its intersection with Railroad Blvd, then northeasterly
along Railroad Blvd to its intersection with 5th Ave S, then northwesterly along 5th Ave S to the
point of beginning
Precinct No. 4
Starting at Excelsior Blvd and 11th Ave S, easterly on Excelsior Blvd to 12th Ave S, then
northerly on 12th Ave S to Mainstreet, then westerly on Mainstreet to 16th Ave N, then northerly
on 16th Ave N to 3rd St N, then easterly on 3rd St N to 15th Ave N, then northerly on 15th Ave N to
its intersection with 3rd St N, then easterly on 3rd St N to its intersection with 12th Ave N then,
southerly on 12th Ave N to its intersection with 2"d St N, then easterly on 2"d St N to 5th Ave N,
then southerly on 5th Ave N to Excelsior Blvd, following Excelsior Blvd westerly to 1 lth Ave S.
Precinct No. 5
Beginning at the SW corner of said precinct, the area bounded by a line commencing at the
intersection of 3rd St N and 17th Ave N, then northerly along 17th Ave N to its intersection with
the westerly city limits, then northerly and continuing in a clockwise direction along the city
limits to their intersection with State Highway No 7, then southwesterly along State Highway No
7 to its intersection with 12th Ave N, then southerly on 12th Ave N to its intersection with 4th St
N, then easterly on 4th St N to its intersection with 11 th Ave N, then northerly on 11 th Ave N to its
intersection with Minnetonka Mills Rd, then southeasterly along Minnetonka Mills Rd to its
intersection with 5th Ave N, then southerly along 5th Ave N to its intersection with 2"d St N, then
westerly along 2"d St N to its intersection with 12th Ave N, then northerly along 12th Ave N to its
intersection with 3rd St N, then westerly along 3rd St N to its intersection with 15th Ave N, then
southerly along 15th Ave N to its intersection with 3rd St N, then westerly along 3rd St N to the
point of beginning.
Precinct 6
Commencing at the SE corner of said precinct, the area bounded by a line commencing at the
intersection of 11th Ave S and the southerly city limits, then westerly and continuing in a
clockwise direction along the city limits to their intersection with 17th Ave N, then southerly
along 17th Ave N to its intersection with 3rd St N, then easterly along 3rd St N to its intersection
with 16th Ave N, then southerly along 16th Ave N to its intersection with Mainstreet, then easterly
along Mainstreet to its intersection with 12th Ave S, then southerly along 12th Ave S to its
intersection with Excelsior Blvd, then easterly and northeasterly along Excelsior Blvd to its
intersection with 5th Ave S, then southeasterly along 5th Ave S to its intersection with Railroad
Blvd, then southwesterly along Railroad Blvd to its intersection with vacated 6th Ave S, then
southerly along vacated 6th Ave S to its intersection with 5th St S, then westerly along 5th St S to
its intersection with 7th Ave S, then southerly along 7th Ave S to its intersection with 6th St S,
then westerly along 6th St S to its intersection with 11 th Ave S, then southerly along 11 th Ave S to
the point of beginning.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT THE City Council of the City of Hopkins hereby
reestablishes the following polling locations as follows:

Precinct 2 Zion Lutheran Church
2415 th Avenue North
Precinct 3 City Hall
1010 1St Street South
Precinct 4 Hopkins Activity Center
33 14th Avenue North
Precinct 5 Alice Smith Elementary School
801 Minnetonka Mills Road
Precinct 6 Hopkins Fire Station
101 17th Avenue South
