Minutes - Election Canvassing Board 11/15/11The Election Canvassing Board meeting of the Hopkins City Council was held on
November 15, 201 1, in the Council Chambers of the Hopkins City Hall.
is Present were Mayor Maxwell, Council Members Brausen, Halverson and Youakim. Also,
present were staff members Elverum, Genellie, Luedke, Mornson, Stadler and City
Attorney Jerry Steiner.
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Maxwell called the meeting to order at 7:25 p.m.
II. NEW BUSINESS
Ms. Luedke, City Clerk, addressed the Council explaining that the City Council is acting
as the Election Canvassing Board. The purpose of the Board is to canvass the election
by accepting the Abstract of Votes cast and declaring the results as the official results.
Ms. Luedke reported on the results of the election that have been certified by the City
Clerk.
Council Member Brausen moved and Council Member Halverson seconded a motion
to accept the submitted Election Abstract of votes cast at the General City Election
held on Tuesday, November 8, 2011, and declare the results reported on the abstract to
be official results. A poll of the vote was as follows: Council Member Brausen, aye;
•Council Member Halverson, aye; Council Member Youakim, aye, Mayor Maxwell, aye.
The motion carried.
III. ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, Council Member Brausen moved and Council Member
Youakim seconded a motion to adjourn the meeting. The meeting was adjourned at
7:30 p.m.
