Proaosed Action Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Adopf Resolution 460, authorizina HRA Chair and Exec�tive Director to accept and use the ARRA funds. ' With approvaf of this motion, HRA Board Chair and the Executive Director wili implement the proper planning and procurement process to utilize the $128,120:the HRA received in ARRA funds. Overview l"he HRA was notified shortly after the passage of the 2009 American;Recovery and� Reinvestment Assistance Acf that the package included funds for public housing capital projects. Specifically, the stimulus funds were provided to the HRA in accordance with AARA regWlations that are slightly different than our current capital fund procedures. The grant must be fully obligated within one year and expended in less than three years. Primarv Issues to Consider `� • Why do we need to act quickly? The deadlines to submit an HRA Board approved Resolution and related paperwork is Apri1 10, 2009. If we do not comply, we may lose the allocated funds.
