AT CONCLUSION OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
Tuesday, July 10, 2012
Mayor Maxwell called the meeting to order at 10:30 P.M.
Present at the meeting were:
Mayor Maxwell ity Manager Mike Mornson
Council Member Jason Gadd Council Member Cheryl Youakim
Council Member Kristi Halverson Council Member Molly Cummings
Council member Jason Gadd gave an update on Yellow Ribbon. The next meeting for the
Yellow Ribbon will be on July 26, 2012 at the Hopkins Center for the Arts.
Council member Cheryl Youakim discussed a funding program for the Historical Society.
Council member Cheryl Youakim stated that the police department did a nice job responding to
the recent burglaries in a neighborhood area.
Council member Cummings will be stepping down as the council rep for the Southwest Light
Rail and Council member Jason Gadd will be taking her place.
Council member Halverson would like the police to send a letter to her neighborhood in regards
to the burglaries that have been happening in the area.
Mayor Maxwell would like the Mike Reynolds, Chief of Police and Dale Specken, Fire Chief to
come to the August 6, 2012 council meeting to talk about the changeover of dispatch from City
of Hopkins to Hennepin County. Mayor stated that an article should be put in the paper in
regards to dispatch going to Hennepin County.
City Manager Mike Mornson stated that 17,000 people attended the car show on June 30`", 2012.
City Manager Mike Mornson stated that 700 people attended the cultural diversity event on June
30, 2012.
City Manager Mike Mornson stated that 400 people attended the Rotary - Hopkins Hockey
event.
City Manager Mike Mornson stated that the staff does a great job and recognizes them for all of
their hard work behind the scenes for all of the events that neither the Council nor the public see.

There being no further business Council member Gadd moved and Council Member Halverson
seconded a motion to adjourn. The meeting was adjourned by unanimous consent at 11:00 p.m.
