June 4, 2013 Council Report 2013-058
ADOPT PEDESTRIAN AND BICYCLE PLAN
Proposed Action
Staff recommends the following motion: "Move that Council adopt Resolution 2013-030,
Resolution Adopting Pedestrian and Bicycle Plan."
Overview
At its April 9, 2013 Work Session, the draft Pedestrian and Bicycle Plan was presented to the
City Council. Since that presentation, a more detailed sidewalk plan has been added. The plan
was prepared by the Community Design Group and was funded by Hennepin County.
A great deal of public input was sought during the development of this plan. Input from
community members as well as the Zoning and Planning Commission, Parks Board and the City
• Council were taken. Additionally, an Open House for the plan will be held in the City Hall
Lobby from 6:00 to 7:30 PM, prior to the Council Meeting.
•
Antonio Rosell from the Community Design Group will present the plan and answer any
questions you may have.
