Approve Liquor License Renewals for
the term of July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014
Proposed Action
Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move to approve the submitted list of
Liquor License renewals for the term of July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014.
This action will allow the applications to be processed and mailed to the State of Minnesota
Alcohol Enforcement Division for approval and issuance.
Overview
The City has received the required information from the current liquor establishments for
renewal of their liquor and other city licenses. Theses documents include the state and city
renewal application, a liquor liability insurance certificate covering the new term, certificate of
compliance of Minnesota Worker's Compensation Law and the license fees.
During the 2012/2013 licensing period, the following ownership changes were approved:
• Hopkins Liquor was purchased by All Four U Liquor in December, 2012.
• Jim's Liquor was purchased by J & J Enterprise, Inc. in April, 2013.
Primary Issues to Consider
All liquor license applications are routine license renewals and the applications have been
received by the City.
