CR 2013-068 Resolution of Support Minnehaha Creek Watershed District Blake Road Storm Water Management ProjectCity of nopkim July 9, 2013 Council Report 2013-068 Resolution of Support Minnehaha Creek Watershed District Blake Road Storm Water Management Project Proposed Action Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move that Council adopt Resolution 2013-038, Resolution Supporting Minnehaha Creek Watershed District Blake Road Storm Water Management Project. Overview Minnehaha Creek Watershed District is proposing to divert storm water to the Hopkins Cold Storage site and provide detention and infiltration. The storm pipe diversions occur on Lake Street from Oakes Park to the site and on Powell Road to the site. This is the link to the project site for additional information: http://minnehahacreek.org/public- notice-325-blake-road-stormwater-management-project The attached diagram shows the plan with the proposed storm sewer and infiltration area. The project will provide treatment for a significant amount of runoff that currently discharges directly to the creek. There is no cost to the City. Hopkins construction along Lake Street would occur in 2015 in coordination with the sanitary sewer work being done by Met Council.
