AT CONCLUSION OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
Tuesday, July 23, 2013
Mayor Maxwell called the meeting to order at 8:30 p.m.
Present at the meeting were:

Council Member Gadd stated that the Yellow Ribbon meeting is this Thursday, July 25, 2013.
Council Member Gadd gave an update on the SWLRT development. He stated that there is
going to be a lot going on in the next several months.
Council Member Youakim talked about new development laws from the League committee.
City Manager Mornson gave the following updates:
• Informed the Council he is chairing a development task force for the League.
• Shared news that the Art Center received a grant for $41,000 from the Arts Board.
• Stated that the Art Center did a great job on exploring outside funds.
• Reviewed the meeting he had today with Met Council board on light rail issues.
• Discussed a housing summit he attended last Thursday in Roseville that talked about new
senior housing options.
• Stated there will be a joint work session meeting after the August 5th City Council
meeting.
• Stated there will have a joint meeting with School District on October 8, 2013.
• Stated that the October work session will be on October 22, 2013.
• Reviewed the August 13th work session which will be held in the Council Chambers.
Planning and Economic Development Director, Ms. Elverum provided updates on:
• Livable communities grant update for PPL project.
• Citrus Systems is moving to a different location. Staff is working with them to obtain a
deed grant.
• Provided a Shady Oak Road Update.
• Talked about possible tenants for development on Blake Road.
City Engineer, Mr. Bradford provided updates on the current street project. He stated that
everything is going well.

There being no further business Council member Gadd moved and Council Member Cummings
seconded a motion to adjourn. The meeting was adjourned by unanimous consent at 9:40 pm
